I have mine facing the back door from directly behind the back seat (amp facing the seat) and it sounds great.
What are some other solutions?

You can always split the rca signal to send the same thing to both amps. find an rca "y" adapter and hook up.
(it will cost a little more to do this, therefore, you can always try the center output and see how it sounds, just test it at a low level to start as higher frequencies can stress subwoofer components)
