Hyundais new Coupe SIII has performed as well in the showrooms as it does on the road, driving 07 March plate change sales of what is perhaps the Korean car-makers best known model to nearly double those of the previous years 06 March registrations.

Hyundais World Cup radio campaign proves a winner

An inspired round of promotional activities held in conjunction with Virgin Radio for the two months leading up to this summers World Cup Final has highlighted Hyundais official association with the 2006 FIFA World Cup.

Eight lucky winners walked away with brand new Hyundai cars as part of the campaign and 34 pairs of World Cup tickets were donated live on air, courtesy of Hyundai.

Hyundai is to invest 1.3 billion euro in a new European production site at Nosovice in the Czech Republic. The facility underlines the companys commitment to strengthen its position as a leading brand in Europe and increase market share in the UK.

A new subsidiary, Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Czech, will run the site, construction of which will start before the end of the year, with production of the companys first European built cars scheduled to start in October 2008.

The factorys initial annual output will be 200,000 passenger cars and Sports Utility Vehicles (SUV) plus 600,000 transmission gear boxes. From 2011, the production volume will be increased to 300,000 units annually, including the production of multipurpose vehicles (MPV).
