I'll be selling my Santa Fe in the next couple of months due to a move overseas, but, if anyone's interested in a second-hand GPS installation that worked perfectly in my Santa Fe, then I have one that you might be interested in.

It's a Blaupunkt, CD-drive, GPS Navigation unit (we had it installed under the passenger seat but it's designed to fit a DIN slot in the front console if you prefer). A small black antenna (about the size of a matchbox) is installed on the front dash for best reception. Central Car Radio in Melbourne did the installation and removed it for me last year when I was getting the car ready for sale at the end of the Novated Lease. I recommend them for the installation as they know how to work with a Santa Fe after installing my GPS.

Any queries to xgener69@aol.com

Yes it is. Now that I think of it, another member posted a few weeks ago that it was going to be offered by Hyundai as part of their Navigation package. Apparantly, Hyundai has deals with Kenwood for the U.S. market (some of their Elantra's and Tiburons come with Kenwood stereo, be it the crappiest ones Kenwood makes). Hyundai is even making a special console piece to house the unit. I'm actually glad they are going aftermarket on this, rather making it in house, or contracting it to Delphi. Delphi = crap!

If I run across the post, I'll share it with you. Though the part is intended for the U.S. market, I'm sure that partguy can hook you up with it for a reasonable price. Should work on the Aussie model without a problem.
In Dash DVD, Navigation, Subs, Speakers, Headrest Monitors

MetalMessiah's Santa...

I know how you feel Snake. We miss out on a lot of cool features in the U.S. also. Although the Santa Fe's are already pretty well equiped for the price, they should offer everything else as an option as well.

MetalMessiah's Santa Fe
