Has anyone tried all terrain tyres on the Santa Fe. I recently read an article on the Pirelli Scoprion All Terrain and it scored very well against all the
other big brands. I have previously used the Yokohama All Terrains on a Suzuki Vitara and found them to be slightly better on road for grib and feel that the
HT tyres the car came with and far superior on gravel. I cannot reiterate how much better AT tyres are on gravel the car went from being scary to drive to
making me feel like a WRC competitor.

I've just replaced my Kuhmo's with Goodyear AT/R Wranglers. With the new compound they're very quiet, but chunky enough for off-road and better on-road grip. I love them and they're far better than the tyres they replaced.

I'll ditto the original comments on the US original equipment tire....which is the BFGoodrich Longtrail T/A. BFG part# 43499. Sorry to say this...but as a parts manager, I naturally like to sell parts and I can't beleive how these tires look at 50-75,000 miles. The only replacements we've sold for the Sante Fe since our dealership opened 10 months ago were for sidewall punctures. These tires last and last.

Happy Motoring!

partguy

Here in the U.S., our Santy's come standard with B.F. Goodrich Long Trails. Are those available in Australia? If so, you might want to consider those. Some members have reported that they last over 80,000 miles. They seem like great tires, and I would probably get them again when it's time to replace them.

Check out this link for more information on them.
BF Goodrich Radial Long Trail T/A
