I'm absolutely satisfied with mine granted i only picked it up on the 4th July i seem to be ok fuel wise i got about 330 kilometers for about half a tank of gas drove out to bromont Quebec after getting her on Friday then Saturday went to hawkesbury Ontario where i filled her up at 63 cents a liter she was at half then. love those cup holders they actually grip and hold your cups in place, and ashtrays to my old ford contour 1998 didn't have a ashtray.yes got to hand it to those Koreans they did a great job on the Santa Fe love it to death, great cargo space and more i know it's early but have had no problems with her no noise at 100 105 on the highway very quiet hope it stays that way to..i recommend to anyone thinking about buying a Santa Fe don't hesitate you will not be disappointed.

I really like my Sante Fe except for 1 thing, my mileage
is the pits. I have 28,000 Km on it and from day one I get 30L/100Km city, 15L/100Km Highway and 20 L/100Km combined. I do not fill the tank with a few liters of gas, so don't tell me that I just filled it wrong. I empty the tank, fill it to overflow and then record mileage. 28,000 km of full tank refills don't lie. Oh yes, I don't lug several hundred pounds of stuff in the trunk so that theory is shot.
The dealer says that the Hyundai Canada representative says this is normal. According to my calculations 100% to 200% over the advertised consumption is not normal. it's funny how if you advertise HP ratings 5% higher than actual you get busted , but fuel consumption misrepresentation gets nothing.

Thank you,
just needed to vent.

I purchased my Santa Fe in March of this year and I just had the 12K service this week. I had been driving Ford Explorers since 1991. I had a new 91 and a new 96. I would not trade my Santa Fe for 10 Explorers. This is one of the nicest driving SUVs I have ever driven. I rate the workmanship #1. I also rate my dealer #1 as well. My only complaint is the inaccurate speedo which my service department is aware and are trying to address along with other owners who have a similiar problem.

Hey now that you have the side door bashed in, you can take it to a dealer/service dept and see how it goes.
Reminds me of the time I took my old car to get repaired since it was rear ended, the owner (for some stupid reason) was forcing the trunk to open and when it finally did open it sprung up do hard that it shattered my rear window. He had this blank stare in his face like "Did I do that", of course he paid for it.

I see the lights on the horizon, and they are of my new Santa Fe.

I take rather long trips just about every week with mine; approaching 10K miles in just over 3 mos. So far, so good and none of the problems mentioned so far.

Jeez, almost wishing for a "small" problem just so I can see what a Hyundai service department looks like. I had to travel 175 miles from Alabama to a dealer in Georgia to get what I wanted; won't ever see that dealer again. Wife has 2000 Sonata approaching 60K miles and only three trips to the dealer 1) driver's window off the track, 2) passenger's window off the track and 3) Recall to move side airbag sensor.

Yeeeeeeeeeeeee-Haaaaaaaaaaaaw

 RI'B

Oh BTW-DAMN satisfied with my purchase!!!
