Hi,

Got a 2007 Santa-Fe 2.2L deisel, clutch failed a few months back and ever since the warranty replacement I have had the ESP warning light coming on about 15
minutes into a journey.

Hyundai dealer had a look at a few times and recommend that I get the wheels alligned, as it MIGHT fix it. I am thinking they should have done wheel allignment
when re-building the car with the new clutch - can anyone confirm this ? Surely drive shafts would have been removed ans ball joints disconnected...

Where are you in the UK and where did you have the work done?
I live in Yorkshire and have had three Santa Fé s serviced over nine years (well over 250,000 miles worth!) mainly at Horbury Bridge near Wakefield and they are VERY good.

You're welcome. The ESP OFF light only disables the stability and traction control. As far as I know, the anti-lock brakes will still function normally.

Hi,

Thanks for the reply, they have hooked up their computer to it and "cleared" the fault code. (Duh, so it will just happen again, won't it ?).
I will book it back in for them to look at it again after New Year.

Does it mean the ABS doesnt work when the ESP OFF light is on ?

Ha...they should be able to pull a fault code and see what's causing the light to come on. Have them do that instead of wasting your time with actions that
'might' fix it.

I am not chuffed with the level of service form the dealer.
