Right as I posted that I thought to myself, "I should probably revise that. Somebody might think I bought it."
No, steff...unfortunately today was not the magical day. I'm hoping it to be soon, though. The car is for sale, though...45,000 miles.

One day Andrew...one day!
When you do get one, you'll have lots of fun keeping it clean! They really pick up fingerprints on that stainless steel body don't they? Especially from all those kids hands as they're peering inside. |

Quite right there Andy.
A good few years back...around mid 90's, my dad and me went to look at a lamborghini espada..gorgeous car! I was passenger in it and my dad drove it around for a while. It sounded fabulous but was a bit of a truck to drive. We sadly left it there. Around the same time, I was lucky enough to be given a long passenger ride in my ultimate supercar. An '88 Lamborghini Countach Quattrovalvole. WOW!! I think it will always be my favourite even though many supercars are quicker these days. Fantastic looking car and what an engine. The memory will stay with me forever. I can't really say how fast it would go...I believe the owner had touched 190 on a private road This one is virtually identical.

Dave...when I was 10 or so my dad almost bought a Mazda RX-7 convertible in bright red. Lack of space at home was the only deal-killer.
By the way folks...if anybody wants a Santy that shares a birthday with mine, there is one on eBay right now with only 26,000 miles on it! Serial number is 803602...mine is 803688 and both were produced 5.24.2004. If I had the money I would buy it just for bragging rights of having two of the same car produced on the same day, less than 100 units apart. They probably even shared a boat ride across.

The Lambo Countach is my all time dream car, the closest I have gotten to one in in a motor museum and was 6 foot away from it so couldn't even touch
her...

Andy, there is just something about the Countach. It has been my dream car since i was very young. The first one I got to see was at the motorshow in the NEC. I
spotted the open doors up over the crowd and nearly walked over the top of them to get to it. It just felt so special being out in one. At one point we pulled
up next to a bus and everyone on it came over to one side to look at the car....everyone pointed and stared. It was like being out in a spaceship! VERY fast
too!!!!! I love the new Lambos they are fantastic...but I still think the Countach is more special (as is the miura)

I have to say, guys...the later model Countach is a beautiful car but I'm a bit more partial to the final years of the Diablo.

Well for the last couple of weeks or so I've been helping a friend out in his garage, he had taken an old 1970 4:2 E-Type Jaguar for some renovation work
to be done, it's been sat for 11yrs and the guy that owns it doesn't want to spend on it, so we've been trying to strip, clean and rebuild parts,
it's been a complete nightmare...
I gave my new gloves a work out though...
Hopefully and all going well, she'll be finished today so we can send her back, it's a real shame though, she could have been a great car once more if he was willing to spend on it...

Andy...at least the hood on that Jag opens nice and wide unlike most new cars that give you an opening the size of most fast food bags.
Got a new and improved rear fog light control circuit into the Santy and they are working 100%! Now I just need some fog...

My parents left for Hawaii this morning....I'm stuck at home where it's 48ºF outside and cloudy.
So I washed the Santy and put her in the garage...I'll be driving mom's Lexus while they're gone.

Love that Jag Andy. You don't see many of them around anymore.
On the subject of the Lambo, here's your chance to be inside a lambo. lol. This is a video of what was called the Supercar Glasgow tunnel run and was filmed last April. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D5qA83IEJ6k The white lambo had a bump not that long ago and is in the bodyshop just now being repaired and getting a total respray.

Thanks for that Steff. Good video!
Funnily enough, I think I might know the owner of that countach from way back when we had Fiat X1/9's. If it is the same person, he used to have a Lamborghini Espada around the mid 1990's |

Dave, The Lambo owners name is Paul and he's from Glasgow. He also owns a Ferrari 328 so he's not short of a bob or two..
