I'm wondering if the cars are so reliable that there isn't much to write about...or maybe some people have sold their Santy's and moved on??

Just quiet. I still have my 2002. Goes in the shop tomorrow to have the air conditioner fixed. First major (sort of) problem.
Looking at the 2011 but hard not to keep the o2 with only 85,000 and running so well. Happy Sunday! |

Just picked mine up today after having the coolant temp sensor done. Fingers crossed...everything seems 100% OK now.
To be honest, I have been looking around other cars in the last couple of weeks. I'm not unhappy with the Santy, i still love it...but with petrol prices over £5.30 per gallon and 18 mpg, It's getting expensive to run. I think I will be keeping my santy for a good while yet but next time I willprobably go for a turbo diesel of some sort. My dad has a 2009 Hyundai i30 1.6 crdi and its a great car. he gets close to 50mpg just on short runs and has had around 65 mpg on a run! It's quick too. |

Hey, Dave, I can relate to the new car fever, but I have a question: Are new car payments cheaper than gasoline??
![]() It's been so blisteringly hot and humid in Alabama the last few weeks, I've been staying inside where it's cool. Temps have been in the upper 90's F the last month or more, topping 100 F a couple of days. I've changed the oil and half the transmission fluid because the job can be done quickly. When the weather moderates, I need to do spark plugs and cables (it's starting to run a little rough occasionally), rear speaker upgrade (the fronts are done), and clean/wax the car. And of course, the wife wants me to do a couple of things to her Tucson. Neither car has had a four wheel alignment. This fall might be active on my car port. It's just quiet around here. I've been keeping very buys and working around the house. Got the oil changed on the power washer and the lawn mower so that's all ready for summer.
![]() The Santy is still running like a top...no ill reports.
Santa Fe -- It doesn't get any better than this!

Hi all...
Well, been driving my Santy since having the coolant temp sensor done and its fine now! back to it's old self ![]() So....no plans to trade the Santy in! I have been trying to work out the money side of things and think that taking all things into consideration, I am still better off with my santy. Also, I can't really see any cars that i like more than it. |

Sold mine but still feelin da luv. The new Ridgeline is fantastic. Already hauled more than what would fit in the Santa Fe and got 21.4 on the first tank full (included with purchase). Still miss the Santa Fe though. It was a good wagon and it is now in the hands of a family that needed a good reliable truckster to haul the kiddies around and get groceries.
As for the other stuff... too hot to mow (hit 100 here in KC today) but brought a pressure washer back from Ohio. I'll use it on the mower in a few months (I hope). 100% down fixes the payment problem ;-p ...but I did trade 2 for 1. Here is why I traded the 2nd one. LOL... ... and this is where bugs fear to tread... ![]() It's BigHorn Mt. Wyoming at Dead Sweed's camp ground. Only 2 mile more to go and had to turn around. 2 hours up and 2 hours back. Beautiful country. Doubtful that the Santy would have been able to make it either. |

Hello all.
My old man died recently and I don't mind admitting that I took it quite bad as it was totally unexpected. Sorry Andy if I didn't get your photo-shop of the paj finished and to be honest I cant remember if it was finished or not. Let me know although the eldest boy who does the photo-shop doesn't stay here much now so it will be a case of catch him when I can. On the motor front, I still have the Santy and still nothing has gone wrong with it and that's it at around 67,000 miles. The Grand Voyager was traded in for a CTS but other than that nothing new. Hope you are all well. Steff |

Sorry to here about your dad Steff. I know when my dad died it took a lot out of me and I think I lost something in the process.
