Hi all! Last week when it was very hot my air conditioner stopped blowing cold air! It happened suddenly and not gradually. At about that same time a high pitched squealing noise started on the front left, which I assume is a belt. I have a 2005 Santa Fe. Really no other issues. Is there a belt that might be dry or slipping that could cause the cold to stop? I am on vacation next week and in total will drive about 50 hours and I would hate to not have air! My dad told me to try the relay switch and I will but thought the high pitch squealing might be a clue as to what happened. The squeal is the worst when I am stopped or almost stopped. Any help is appreciated!
