I park on a gravel parking lot at work, so it gets dusty in them then it rains and gets spoty on the black and looks very bad. What can I do? The Santy really does attract plenty of dirt in the wells. I don't like it much myself when I have a shiney wash, but - All I have found when it gets dusty is to eith rinse them out or wipe them down. Spray a soft stream of water into the wheel well and scrub with standard car wash soap and a rag. Then rinse. If you're really eager, you can pick up Armor All Protectant Wipes (available at any local hardware or auto parts store). This makes them look great! Good luck.

Posts: 359 (03/04/06 20:02:47) Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	On the wheel well topic, I felt up under the rear wheel well lip, and even after what I thought was a good rinse, there is still tons of muck. So use your fingers and the hose to get that crap out from that lip before it makes toxic metal eating rust!

Posts: 359 (07/21/07 10:52:36) Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	Ads no more Remove this ad During a rinse of the wheel well today I did the usual feel up and under the lip on the rears to dislodge the caked on gunk and as I followed it forward I found more surprises. Where tha lip of the wheel well joins the body (on the front part of teh rear wheel well) there is a void where tons of crap have made it a home. You don't see it by casual looking. A good look and a feel with fingers was necessary. This stuff was like concrete, but with the hose on spray and fingers rubbing, I made sure I flushed out the crap in the void. It looks like it would be THE place for rust to start.

I got a spray head with my bottle and never mind that the stuff stinks like #!@ it does a killer job getting the wheel wells, springs, and shocks. Whenever I apply it, I remove the wheel and cover the brakes (just in case). If it's dry out, the wheel wells look great for about 2 weeks and look good for another month. You can buy it here.
