You can find my updated plug change instructions at the following link. Please note that this is about 2-3Mb, so dial up connections will be slow.

Thanks Hennessey...I always wondered what the 2.7 looked like naked. Out of curiosity, what year is your SF because your engine cover is different than that on my 2004...see here.

Bought November 26, 2001. I think they changed the cover design as the original lets everthing fly right through the grill and all over the top of the engine!
PS I guess the subject line was to long for the responses but it does leave you with an accurate Freudian slip... |

Thanks for showing it...I was really curious as to what the damn thing actually looked like. My dad's got an Acura TL and the engine cover is easily removed...it's just a hard time getting it back on.

Nice job I liked the old cover at least it shows something of the engine from where you got the wires |

Nice pics, helpful write-up.
Don't the bolts need to be torqued to some specification? Do you have the part # for the gasket? |

I couldn't find anyone but a dealer that stocked the gasket so I didn't think a P/N would be worth anything. Just go to Hyundai parts counter and ask for a plenum gasket for an XXXX year Santa Fe.
On the torque side, yes there is a spec but you need the shop manual to get the numbers. I have a lot of experience with steel bolts on Aluminium heads and intakes so I do it by feel. Snug but not over tight and never use a long handled ratchet wrench or a breaker bar. |

AOL has canned their Hometown web hosting. I will be moving the site to http://www.geocities.com/hennesseystealth/ as quickly as possible. The home page is up but not the Santa Fe
link. Give it a day and it will be back up. If anyone has stuff stuck on hometown.aol.com with no way to get it back, let me know as I have a back door using
an FTP client.
