Can someone help me find the remote transmitter? I looked under the dash on the driver's side with a mirror and flashlight, but could not find it. Do you really have to remove the lower dash panel as the instructions say?

I'll try feeling around for it but in the meantime could you tell me if it's by the fuse panel, or under the steering wheel, or basically, where is the best place to start feeling for it?

Well I just did it. Some notes to help others (by the way I have an '04):

1) The receiver module is right behind the fuse box - if you crawl under the dash look for the small box with the switch on it that says "OFF" and "SET". I didn't see the antenna thingy hanging down. And I think the words are upside down.

2) The little switch lever is best moved by a small screwdriver, since it is recessed. Just move it over to "SET" - you don't have to have the ignition on by the way (I had it off with the key out of the ignition).

3) Then push the lock button (or I guess unlock will work too) on your new remote keyfob. ALSO, you need to do the same thing with your old remote keyfob, while the switch is in SET. I guess it forgets the old one once you move it to SET. (I found out by trying to use the old one after setting the new one and it didn't work anymore.) So basically program all your keyfobs at the same time while the switch is in SET, even your old ones that were already working.

4) Move the switch back to OFF and you're done!

I found a remote keyfob for about $15 online and had a key made at the hardware stock for about $1.50.
