First of a few write ups coming (winter mod bug has hit
)
I am pretty that Santamen has this in his rear lights, but I just finished the headlights, and the foglights.
Headlights
Step 1 is obvious, remove the headlights. Remove the 3 bolts holding the housing in, unplug the lights themselves and you're good to go. I followed the rough instructions here as to figure out the placement for the LED itself. Listen to the section where they talk about vacuuming out the dust in the housing, you will DEFINITELY need to do that. I went with right underneath the bulb itself on the bottom of the housing.
Step 2 is to drill the hole for the LED. Take your time and let the drill do the work, don't push hard. Going through the plastic is the easy part, the reflector is much more delicate. If you push hard, you are likely to get a chunk of the reflector flying off larger than the hole you wanted.
Drill the hole from the bottom, Look for the notch I have shown in this picture, and measure 3/4" to 1" down.

As always I shaved the heads of the LED's so they don't protrude too much into the housing. Drill the hole and you should come out right underneath the bulb.

Wire them up as you see fit, I will be running them from a fuse tap with a kill switch in the dash (another mod still to come). Here are the test product shots, just prior to install.
With flash....

And without...

Foglights
The foglights are a little more involved, you can try to mod them up while they are attached, or remove the bumper and take them right out. I opted for complete removal. To get the bumper off, with the headlights already out, remove the plastic screws and plugs on top, one screw at the top of each wheel well, 2 screws on each bottom corner and the bolts holding the underside of the bumper to the chassis.
Each foglight is held in by 3 screws, so take those out and the foglight housing should drop right our of the bumper. Remove the cap on the foglight for the bulb, and then unscrew the bulb mount and pull it out. (makes the vacuuming easy)

I drilled the hole going from the top down, so the LED is not visible if you are just standing there. In all honesty if I could have done the same for the headlights, I would have. The hole is right beside the aiming bolt, just slightly lower than the gap. This comes out right on the edge of the reflector.

Here is a shot of the hole through.

Again with the LED head shaving, insert it in the hole so that it just sits flush. You will want to seal the hole, I use Goop Silicone Sealer and Contact Cement. Tape the wire in place so that it doesn't shift while the silicone is drying.

Put the bulb back in, screw it in place, replace the cover, and you are all set. Here is the test shot again prior to the final install.

And now for the finished result.
Before just the grill glowing...

and after (parking brake is on to kill the lights, although the ambers stay on)

I wired the headlights and foglights glow directly to the battery, so they operate independent of lights. I will most likely do the same with the undercar kit as well. Here is a shot with everything off except the glow. (The interior is from the dome light)

And now with EVERYTHING on!!!

And yes, I do like blue lights, my own little OCD
Keep in mind that having these on when you are driving is most likely illegal in most areas, although the Daytime running lights will cancel out the LED. I am putting the Santy in shows starting this year, so that's why I'm doing it, that and I think it looks cool
.
