Time consuming task with much patience involved! I have only done this once myself, so I am not an expert by any means - but, if it's the tinted film you are talking about, I managed by using a heat source to make the film a little more plyable and soften the adhesive that makes it stick to the window. Then I carefully and gradually peeled back the film starting at the corners. After this long and tedious task, it left a sticky residue on all the windows. This was removed using a combination of soapy water and a razor blade or thin hard edge of an old credit card. Again, a slow and tedious process. Some have mentioned a solvent, which may work just as well or better, I'm not sure. But I shyed away from them because of the smell and fear of it dripping and staining any of the materials within the vehicle. There are some store bought products in the automotive sections that can be purchased, but I believe it is pretty much the same thing I just described above.

A final caution. If you have the tint on the back window, covering the rear defrost wires.....be very, very careful. These will tear off with the film VERY easily if not taken seriously and with extreme caution & patience. An expensive repair to replace if not done with care & caution!!!
