Alan51. Have'nt visited the site for some while. Where do you get your LPG at 29.9p. I pay 35p at my local Calor Gas dealer and reckon I get a good deal. Have you discovered a sectret store!!!

Been running my 2.7 V6 on LPG for almost 2 years now and have gotten an average of 19 MPG but that is about 80 percent around town driving. On a long motorway run of 200+ miles I aim to get at least 24 MPG with two up and air conditioning on most of the time. Now if you take petrol at an average of 98 pence per litre and LPG at 35 pence per litre that works out that my vehicle does the equivalent of 68 MPG on LPG. A word of warning about conversion types. Stear well clear of the cheap conversions which rely upon the existing ECU which is not set up for LPG. Go for the conversion which includes a slave ECU. (Conversions for the V6 will have two slave ECU's) My car was converted using the PHAROS system.
There is one other Santa Fe man on this Forum who has had his V6 converted and I understand he is getting better MPG than myself so worth seeking him out ALAN61
Just as a footnote I also had my exhaust converted using a VORTEX exhaust box and on a recent measured run of 400 miles keeping the vehicle on cruise for 90 percent of the journey at about 55 MPH I managed 36 MPG on PETROL. I could not believe that figure, but checked it time and again and it is 100 percent correct.
I tend to do the maximum on motorways which ruins you MPG figures.
So far as the warranty is concerned you need to talk to your local agent. The only area of contention is the engine itself. If it fails during the warranty, which system was to blame?. I agreed with my dealer that if such an issue should arise we would seek an independent engineering report and abide by the findings. One other point is the platinum plug will only last you for about 35.000 miles before you need to replace them if you run most of the time on LPG rather than the 60,000 miles for petrol use, and you can't change them yourself on the V6 unless you are an engineer as the injector system has to be removed to get to the rear bank of plugs. That will set you back 100+ GBP's.

Sorry I forgot to mention that you receive a 12 month warranty for the conversion which can be renewed annually. As I recall the box cost about 300 GBP including installation from an approved installer. It needs to be installed correctly otherwise it does not work.
