Just had mine in for her first service and had to take it back for the trasmission oil leak and had to loose her for the day, got to drive around in an accent, it felt like I was sitting on the road, I can't believe how low to the ground you are, it was so much nicer getting mine back at the end of the day, I felt like I was on top of the world. Wouldn't give it up for anything. Hope all is well with you. Sue

I must add that after all the problems I had with my 2.4 manual I am absolutely satisfied with the new V6 that Hyundai swapped me into. Have done over 10,000 ks now it is just a pleasure to own. Have it on full synthetic engine oil now and I reckon it runs even smoother than before. Did my mpg a couple of weeks ago over three tank fulls and got 27.01 mpg so I can't complain. Pity we can't get a few more NZers on this site.....cheers.....rugbykiwi...

Ive ordered a silver GLS and got it optioned with wood grain kit, electric sunroof, tinted windows. Will get bullbars and side step later on. I went for a test drive in another new one and found it didnt have much pick up until it got plenty of revs, but it should be comfotable.

I might upgrade the speakers and headlight globes and maybe some accoustic matting around the engine bay and that will do me. Oh yeah I put a TJM bullbar on today as well.

'04 V6 Cerise Red GL and added side steps and the nudge bar. I have been reading the various postings and read some interesting stuff that i will need to spend some more time digesting and investigating. K&N air filters seem to be a favourite of many of you. Now that some of you have had yours for a while are the results as good as you had hoped? Also interested if anyone has put more sound absorbing material on the engine firewall to alleviate what i see as perhaps the only problem in that the car has a bit more engine noise than expected, i am use to driving sedans(last one was a Hyundai Granduer) and perhaps the noise is just a function of an SUV versus a sedan? cheers for now

I haven't tried the K & N Filters yet, as they are not available for the 3.5L yet here in the states, but I'm sure that others will chime in with their experience on them soon. As for soundproofing the hood, there is actually a lengthy thread here. Sound proofing of hood Welcome once again to the forum. It's good to hear that you are very happy with it.

It's just great when someone looks at the santy and is puzzled, wondering what it is it's got it's own unique styling. Enjoy the forum and if you've got the questions, then we have answers.

Just traded current wheels (2003 Ford XR6Turbo) on the new Santa Fe Elite (May Release in Australia). Ford finally @#%$ me off one too many times. (Gettin' too old for the turbo anyway and too close to max points !) To be honest the previous model Santy didn't do it for me - too "chunky". Actually went in to look at Susy Liana Hatch as dealer did so good a deal when we got he wife's Swift late last year. Saw the Santy in showroom - wow - what's thaaat ! Boss took us for a ride in his Santy Elite - that did it ! Took a couple days to check out options (Volvo 4wd /Subys etc.) back for another ride -done deal. Due friday Ebony Black - mica Elite. It has the lot ! All we had to get was the tow bar. Cant believe the difference in the new model - longer - wider - smoother - upgraded 2.7 ( I sure dont need more power.) Any Santy clubs /groups around brisbane ? Bogeyman
