It looks great but I haven't run into very many bugs lately so I don't know if it has made a difference yet . Now the reason for this post... Has anyone else noticed a "whistle" from the deflector at about 35mph? It's not real loud (can't hear it with the windows open) but it is noticible. I don't think that it is so bad that I will have to remove it. I imagine the noise is coming from the clips that hold it to the hood. mults

Posts: 149 (11/04/03 19:22:28) More My Recent Posts	It took less then 20 minutes to install, no tools needed other then the allen wrench that is included. Note, it comes with some clear little "bumpers" that stick on to prevent it from rubbing against your paint, some here have out the bumpers on the deflector itself, others such as myself put them on the paint (they stick on) as instructed. I hope that "if" I ever decide to remove the deflector (why would I?) that they come off the paint ok, which I believe they will. Spike

Posts: 76 (11/07/03 08:46:28) More My Recent Posts	Mults, Mine experienced the whistling when the weather turned cold. I contacted the manufacturer and they sent me additional bump-ons. I placed them on the top of each fender where the deflector ends. Solved the problem.

The company is called, A Perfect Fit. Even though they have a number listed for the US, I had to call one of the numbers in Canada (can't remember why). Here are some numbers I found for them: Seattle 206-486-8410 Calgary 403-263-8284 Toronto 416-569-9395 They were very nice people to deal with and they really wanted to solve my problem. I believe, however, that you should be able to find those bump-ons at Home Depot or a craft store. Maybe whoever calls, can report back to us with which number is the correct one. Ron

Posts: 297 (03/08/04 08:15:40) More My Recent Posts	That is correct. NO drilling! There are 4 plastic clips that mount it to the hood and 2 of these have tiny allen screws that hold them in place. Very easy install.

My problem was that one of the non-allen screw clips fell off somewhere between Ohio and Hilton Head SC. I have been trying to locate such a clip and was unsuccessful until today. Using the info provided earlier in this post, I found that A Perfect Fit always located a tailor shop. Finally I went to a Canadian phone book and did locate a company called: Perfect Fit Custom Extrusions in Calgary Phone 403-263-8284 A call verified they are the makers and I was given a pert number for a kit of 4 clips - 2 that use allen screws and 2 that do not. This was a special kit made up for Hyundai US for folks like me. Part # is 00239-71004 from Hyundai US. My dealer has ordered one and when it comes in, I'll pick it up and see how it works, then report back, if anyone is interested.

Posts: 197 (12/16/05 22:15:29) More My Recent Posts	Remove this ad One word of caution on the factory wind deflector. If you live or drive to an area with below zero temperatures, don;t close your hood too hard. MY first wind deflector shattered into many pieces doing this.
