Hi all,
I had a phone call today from Mrs H.D, she informed me that Doug (HardyDoug) passed away suddenly on the 1st April and asked if I could let you all know... Myself and Doug during one of our many meetings...: -  R.I.P Doug... Andy...   |

I'm deeply saddened, I've missed him lately and was wondering where he's been. Andy if you have the opportunity, please give Mrs. H. D. all of my best.

I am totally shocked at the news Andy; Doug was a great fellow and I considered him a friend. Makes me really wish I had made that trip over across the pond a couple years ago.
It seems I've misplaced HD's phone number but I had it previously and spoke with him a few times. TG |

I too offer my condolences and respects. Doug was a great help when I got started 3 years ago. I'm sure that his absence will be felt.

I'm so sorry to hear that. It will never be the same here without him. He was a great person, and like others have said, I considered him a friend. He will be missed. This definitely came as a shock. He was always very helpful around the forum and would go to great lengths to help people out, including me on a few occasions in getting parts from the U.K. In addition to all that, he had a great sense of humor and great personality.
Please give his family our condolences. |

I still can't believe it. Doug was a wonderful person and an asset to the SFF for nearly 5 years. He will be truly missed.

Evrytime I see this post as well as the other one in Mods Corner, I start to feel so sad. He will be surely missed and although we never met, I feel like we had from the conversations. A heart of gold that man. Not many like him.

Food for thoughts...... I think that It would be appropriate at this time in order to respect the man's legacy to take away his name in the upper portion of this forum identifying all the moderators? Maybe you should create a section for the known members that have left us.... Any thoughts ? FFL...........thank you ! Always remember that Silver is simply better....
