I took the day off work and drove up to Tacoma, Washington (about 150 miles north of here) to visit the holy grail of car detailing shops (Griot's Garage)
and dent up my credit card a little bit. It took a massive amount of restraint not to blow $500 in one sitting but I was able to walk away with the bare
essentials. Here's what I bought:
Random Orbital Buffer: $129.99
Set of Four Polishes: $49.99
Set of Three Polishing Pads: $28.99
One Waxing Pad: $12.99
And after all that, I forgot to buy the wax!! Not a big deal, though as when I get my tax refund and economic stimulus checks, I'll be back up there to buy everything else I want.
The Santy did great on the road. We left around 11 AM and filled up before heading out of town. Over the 280 miles on the trip up and back down, I got 23 mpg! Most of the pavement up I-5 in that area is pretty new so the noise from the BFGs was greatly diminished.
