Back in 2002 when many of us were offered those 3 warranty extension choices due to the little fib on HP ratings, I opted for extending my engine/drivetrain to
120,000 miles. I figured Hyundai was betting on few people holding on to their rig that long and MAYBE when we got close, we might be getting some sweeteners
on a new rig. Well, my 2002 AWD GS now has 105,000 miles and I'm still waiting for the sweet trade in deals to come rollin in any day now. Maybe I
haven't heard anything since the dealer I bought from went away.
I'm coming close to some major expenses (second timing belt, plugs & wires, another total fluid change out, and maybe even a new paint job). So when is Hyundai going to start begging me to trade in my 2002 on a new one? I sure wouldn't want to go through a routine timing chain change out like Shup or drop $ 2,000 in routine maint then have someone total my 2002. No doubt my insurance company would want to call it even at $ 5,000 or something.
I've been real pleased with my 2002 and would be willing to roll it into another (let me re-phrase that) ...I'd be willing to trade it in, if I got a sweet deal. Anyone else thinking like me? Anyone get a sweet trade in already?
Is Hyundai (or any dealers) going to offer us 120,000 milers any kind of a deal?
