hahaha, love the eyes Dave Looks like a good time was had in Bertie. I must admit if I had a garage to do some tinkering in, I'd almost be tempted to get a van myself. I'm sure the kids got over the RAC ride and it sounds like the rest of the time was good.

Shup - Not so much of a problem over here to be honest. Although we still have our fair share of idiots there are quite a lot of small cars being sold now so you don't really feel that out of place. I have to say though over there I would still go for something more substantial, just because your trucks are double the size of here! My other half's father lives in Orlando so we are over there every now and again and last time (September) we hired a 3.5L Toyota Rav 4. Seemed like a pretty good car to be honest, if somewhat dull - lol. That particular trip we drove from Miami to Key West and then back from Key West up to Orlando via the Everglades and Naples so we gave it a pretty good road test Oh I should also say, the £20 I paid to download the map of the South East US onto my TomTom was worth every penny too - has all the land marks and tourist destinations on it which was very handy.
