I did what you suggested and cleaned the Evaporator coil. I used some commercial "NO RINSE" evaporator coil cleaner I had on hand to clean my home's Central A/C evaporator coil. There was no filter but there was a small amount of "aged dead tree debris" which I was able to vacuum out before cleaning coil as per the directions on cleaner! The fact I no longer have to see that pained look on my wife's face or hear the repetitive complaint about the smell from the A/C vents any longer "Priceless". Thanks for your help!
