I worked at my dad's office today, landscaping on a fairly basic level (just moved two trees and planted some small grassy plants). Made $35 and filled up the Santa Fe where I paid $48 for 17.15 gallons (low fuel light was on).

This thread was started by somebody on another forum and it has since exploded into a 950-page monster. I figured anything to help jump start activity on this
site is worth a shot. Just post what you've got going on today.

As normal it's raining here, but it's that really fine stuff that just soaks everything, been watching the birds in the back garden, was waiting for my
sister who said last night on the phone she'd pop in for a Coffee, but as normal it's a no show (i think there must be something wrong with either my
house or me, never get visitors, isn't it strange how little things tick you off, I don't know, must be just me getting old and more paranoid) and am
now going to go and play some GTA4...

My buddy just got back from Southern California yesterday so I'm going to head over to his house and help him clean up his car.
Other than that, not too much going on.

Drinking coffee at the local cafe' 6:00am...then next door to the office to set up new computer equipment (all ruined during the dreaded ice storm of
January '09)...thought about getting out on the river for some trout action but too late and too hot before I thought of it. Hob nobbed about town with
friends, went home took a 2 hour nap then back to the office for a bit...now just writing this post.
Will be on the river about 6:30am in the fog throwing Rappala crank baits for the big brown trout and back in by 10am when it gets really hot...has been 95 Farenheit with a heat index of 103 lately. TG |

I was rather productive today. Mowed the lawn and washed both my dad's Acura and the Santy. They actually needed it due to the few days of rain and
generally unfavorable weather we've had over the last few days. Not sure what I'm going to do tonight; all but one of my friends are out of town.

I'm off to see my friendly MHN (Mental Health Nurse) soon, 12:30hrs appointment, go for a little chat just to see how things are going...
After that I might take a short drive, but will see, it's rather warm here today, not complaining though, it's high time we had some decent weather for a change, after I decide and go or return home, I shall make a nice large mug of Coffee and have a chill out in the back garden...
Then tonight, I might make myself a nice large mug of Coffee and have a chill out in the back garden... Alas, I have no friends in town...

really hot and sunny...............so we went bicking (40k).......spent the afternoon in the pool...............and topped It with a nice diner outside and
went out in a local park to attend an outside show (band) before a huge fire work display at around 23:00.........................so today..........I'm

Slept a little later than I meant to but oh well...
Two of my closest friends are out of town and I'm bored out of my mind.

Just watching the news...it appears that Michael Jackson has died.
Regardless of how you feel about his controversial behavior over the past 15 years, the man is an icon and his passing is the end of an era.

Fished again today; we were on the river at 06:30 in the fog and it didn't lift in some areas until 11:00. Snagged a few nice trout tossing' crank
baits, that's about it. Lodging business is busy, busy, busy but we know the slowwwwwww days are coming.

Came home this morning and saw we had a water leak.
It is in
the paved part of the road that the county and the water company say is our responsibility and we have to fix ourselves even though they paved over them.
Fought for 2 years about this and of course lost.![]() ![]() holes.
Soooo I called for a backhoe to be brought over too cut a hole in the road and fix the d#m thing. There is a lot more to the story but would take a lot more time to tell.
Will try and take some pictures of the mess for Andy and post them. Will probably use it to do some much needed work around here but was not planning on spending 5 bills this weekend. ![]()

Damn, Gary I know how that feels. Government bull
at
it's finest, eh? Good luck with that. Today, I'm trying to get a clock to chime correctly. It's a wall clock that we've had in my family since I was only 15 days old and it slowly became forgotten as time went on, despite being a truly memorable and integral part of my childhood. In the past week, I have gotten it wound, set the pendulum so it holds the correct time (it used to lose 35 minutes over a day) and I'm now running the chime to see if it has a self-correcting feature. It's not chiming the correct hour or the correct half hour so we'll see if a day or two running will get it feeling better. If it doesn't, I'm going to take it to a reputable local clock shop to see if they can help. This is the clock:

My heart is pounding right now. I went to get ice cream as it's a beautiful night and since we are so far north (Gary can relate) we still have some light
at 9:30 PM this time of year. I was going about 47 mph (only 2 over the speed limit) and the sun was below the horizon as I drove up the hill, I saw a figure
strut cautiously across my path just outside the pool of the street light and the beam of my headlights. Then my lights hit it...DEER! My Santa Fe does not
have ABS so I just jabbed the pedal and locked up all four wheels. This actually proved advantageous as the noise of the squealing tires scared the deer and he
jumped out of my path just in the nick of time. The cloud of tire smoke and the smell of burning rubber was rather impressive, I must admit.

Getting ready to go away for a few days with the caravan. I will be dropping the Santy off in Dundee for it's service on Monday so hopefully that goes alright without too many problems. |

Took some neighbors to the airport and fed the Santy. $46 for a full tank and now I'm broke again...

Our usual Independence Day program at the church is tomorrow evening (Sunday) and we had our final dress rehearsal this morning. Yours truly has a solo and a
part in a trio and we got the final questions worked out. We have some people with serious talent to draw on, and it's a pleasure to sing with such
ability.
