I just replaced the cap and drove the 5 miles from the dealer home. I opened the hood again and it is now literally gushing out from under the cap and down the side of the tank. I took the cap off and the fluid was right at the brim of the neck, whereas it had been well within the safety range at the dealer.

I see a hose from the PS fluid reservoir runs down to the radiator. Does anybody know if the '04 Santy came with a dedicated power steering fluid cooler? Because if so, I'm starting to wonder if it's going bad and causing a boil over.

She's spending the night and I am enjoying driving my 2009 Azera loaner. It seems my dealer has just started a loaner car program.

The tech came out to talk to me before they gave me the car and it turns out she's leaking coolant, as well and needs upper and lower coolant lines and a power steering fluid reservoir. The parts had to be ordered and they are hoping to have her done by tomorrow afternoon. No promises, though.

Well guys...2 bits of good news and 1 bit of bad news. The good news is they fixed the problem (no leakage at ALL, now) and it only wound up costing $407 parts and labor. The bad news is the transfer case is now seeping fluid if ever so slightly. It's not of concern now but I have to wonder how much that is going to cost me down the road and what other expensive repairs might eventually be needed.

Kelly Blue Book pins my car (at 125,600 miles) being worth just at $7,000 private party value although I've kept her so clean, I could probably get closer to $8,000. I'm not giving up on her just yet but she will have to earn her keep as the miles come on.

Thanks, Andy. It's raining today and tomorrow so I'll take her to the DIY wash and get the engine bay cleaned up. I liked the Azera's power but the suspension is a bit floaty...they're certainly not targeting the single 22 year old male demographic with it. Very comfortable and quiet inside not to mention I loved having the sunroof, satellite radio, steering wheel audio controls and automatic up and down power windows. Not sure I would buy one, though. It has a 3.8 liter V6 but it's front wheel drive. I didn't drive it all that hard but I noticed the front end had a tendency to get darty under heavy throttle. The Genesis comes with this same engine (and the 4.6 liter V8) in rear wheel drive and quite frankly I find it to be better looking than the Azera. But for what it is, the Azzy is a fine car and I was happy to have it over some worn-out, beat-up, smoked-in junker from the rental company.

This is an '06 dash but my '09 was very similar. The only differences was mine didn't have the wood wheel and the interior wood was a darker, smoked wood. Tasteful and nice.
