I took my Santa Fe in to my Hyundai dealer for my annual Pennsylvania safety and emmisions check today. I have a 2006 GLS w/3.5L v6 and four wheel drive.
While there, the service rep told me that I need to have both the rear and front differentials drained and refilled along with my transmission. These were
needed to protect my warrenty and that they were Required. After I paid my bill, nearly $600.00, I noticed on the repair bill that these repairs were
Recommended not Required. When I got haome I looked at my warrenty book and the only time these repirs were required is if I towed a trailer, drove on dusty
roads or spent alot of time in stop and go traffic. I don't do any of these.
My question is: was he telling me the truth or did I just pay for something I didn't really need?
