this is something i did on my subaru club site, with my impreza. So i'll start with stock, and as the santy goes through its evolution I'll update
this thread with new pics and a quick description of what each one is.
so here is stock:
(apparently I never took a photo of it stock, so here is an image i pulled from wikimedia of a stock santy)
first mod was to make the rear "reflectors" functional:
(more pics of this here: http://forums.nasioc.com/...howthread.php?t=1830712)
next came the new rubber:
they are BFGoodrich all terrain TA K/O tires in stock size. from what we can tell they gave about an inch more ground clearance (probaly just do to the stockers being worn down so much, but these do have almost an inch of tread). they wear like iron, many people get between 70K to 100K out of one set, and i'm hoping to get more than that because I put one on the spare as well. first reports from my wife are that she loves them. she said, that she had better traction in the snow with these, than she did in the rain with the stock tires. road noise is a bit increased due to the aggressive tread pattern, but we are eventually planning on doing dynamat in the interior, so we are not to worried.
