After 3 years of reliability and perfect running, it seems my Santy has taken a turn for the worse.
In the last few days I got an engine check light. It is mostly lit but has gone out a couple of times.
It starts OK from cold but when it warms up to operating temp, the idling gets higher...mostly sitting at about 1200 rpm but sometimes as high as 3000 rpm!
Yesterday, It wouldn't start when hot..then eventually when it did, it revved to over 3000 when idling and then cut out after driving a couple of hundred yards.
I took it to a local mechanic, he plugged it in and came up with the p0115 code which he told me was the 'coolant temp circuit'
Has anybody had this before? Is it likely to be the coolant temp sensor??
Any help would be very welcome.
