I was wondering if my Santy would be able to handle towing it as well as launching and retrieving from a boat ramp. I'm thinking probably not. Boat would probably be under 2000 lbs with tongue weight of under 200lbs Anyone know if it can handle that?

I towed a boat of about 1200kG (5.8 metre RIB for diving) many times with my 2001 2.4 litre Santa Fé without problems. Just go easy on the clutch as it isn't very robust if you slip it a lot when setting off when heavily loaded. I have since changed the car - I'm now on my 3rd Santa, the second and current ones are V6 2.7 auto models. If I remember correctly, the 4cyl model will tow up to about 1400Kg so you are well within that. 8 cylinders are twice as much fun as 4
