BTW nice doggies! I've got nine, all rescued, of various breeds. I'd like to post a pic but I can't get them all to sit in the same spot at the same time and smile together.....hmmm, maybe a wide angle lens might help....

Thanks for your comments, every little helps. Do you have any idea why one injector should stop the car from starting? I am baffled by my starting problem. As I mentioned I have just bought her from a family friend who didn't use her very often but says he never had starting problems. When he brought her here from across France (about a five hour drive) he had no problems. As I've used her (about three times) she has got progressively harder to start, she sounds dead, i.e. no attempt to fire at all and no smell of diesel at the exhaust. Reading about the fact that a leak in the feed pipe is likely to let air in rather than let fuel out I parked her nose down and lo and behold after 24 hours she eventually fired and ran. However, trying again this morning and she's dead again, dammit! So, none the wiser really. I will continue to try to get her running and when successful I think the only option is to take her to the local(ish) dealer and let them investigate. I hear the sound of distant cash registers ringing in my ears.
