Had the Santy in the shop for the first time this week. Bad Throttle Position Sensor. Had very rough idle during cold startups, poor gas mileage, engine sounded as if the timing was off, idle bounced between 1000 and 2000 rpms, engine would "tug" and "lag" while driving.......all symptoms of a throttle issue. Took it into the shop & sure enough, the diagnostic revealed that the sensor was malfunctioning. Quick 1/2 fix and under warranty.
Can't complain so far. Had this Santy for 2-1/2 years, and never had an issue till now. Over all, 2 Santy's - 1 visit to the shop since '02. Not a bad return so far!!
