OK gang,
I think I know the answer, but want to check.
On Friday I took my Santa Fe in to the dealer to get and oil change and also get a free inspection.
They came back and told me I have a rear passenger side taillight out.
I figured no biggie and went over to the local Autozone to get a new one.
Replaced it and everything seemed fine.
But then today as I was coming home from work I noticed when I hit my brakes not only did my back brake lights light up, but so did my interior gauges AND my Parking lamps in the front of the vehicle!!!!
When I turn on my parking lamps I do not see that occur, but I also noticed that when I turn off the ignition the lights stay on now, they normal shut off when the ignition is off...
Is this a short? Or a problem with the computer, or fuses?
I would have to say I'd hope it is a short in the rear tailight assembly if I had to choose between Computer issue and short..... maybe exposed wires touching or a wire hitting bare metal, etc...
I figured Id go down later and try to remove the bulb and see if that is causing the issue or not...
Almost forgot, not sure how though as it was a pain, I tried unsuccessfully to remove the front bumper in order to get to the fog lamps, wondering if one of those screws is causing the short....
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
